So here again are two good friends of mine from good ol' college years. Meet Elaine and Gary, two lovebirds that had gotten together at the very end of my time at school and have been together ever since! Elaine just finished up her Masters in Music Therapy and Gary is a graduate of the Eastman School of Music and is now an amazing piano teacher. BOTH of these individuals are highly talented in music and both can play a number of different instruments. Which is why the Opera House in New York City was such a fitting place to get their engagement photos done!! :) Elaine and Gary are currently living in Rochester, New York and came all the way down to NYC to see my face (jk- to take the photos). I'm pretttty excited to be heading back up to my old college town (Rochester) to photograph their wedding in August! PS: I always love shooting in the New York City Subways and getting those fun shots!
A New Jersey Engagement Session in Mitsuwa Marketplace with Japanese Ramen
Meet Alex and Shekhar (pronounce shake-er). These two are fun, silly, hilarious and totally fun to work with. Alex is from New York City and Shekhar hails from New Jersey. When we were brainstorming ideas and places for the session, we decided a bridge that brings together NY and NJ would be perfect! So we chose the George Washington Bridge. Knowing that, I also suggested going to Mitsuwa (a Japanese supermarket and food court) that was nearby. This place also houses some of the best ramen on the East Coast- which worked out perfectly since Shekhar says their first date was over a bowl of ramen! So cute! It’s great to be able to capture these moments as a New York City wedding photographer!
Here are some highlights:
A Cape Cod, Massachusetts Destination Wedding
It was great to be a part of this wedding "on the cape". (AKA, on the Cod) :p Sarah and Jason have been dating since college years and have been together since. They are such a cute couple their wedding day was full of friends and family that came from all over to celebrate. They currently live in Houston, TX but wanted to come back to the East Coast (they are natives) to get married. Sarah is an amazing designer so the wedding was filled with beautiful DIY projects. It was truly an interesting day- including a trip to the swamps :) It was great to get out of my comfort zone as a New York City wedding photographer and see other parts of the east coast!
The High Line in Chelsea, New York City Engagement Session
We probably picked the best and hottest day in New York City for this photoshoot (unknowingly). The weather these days have been all over the place, rain, rain, rain and then heat then it's like cold again. So crazy!! However, the heat didn't hold us back! These two were such troopers- and I'm telling you it was HOT. They were both probably sweating a storm, but they were able to keep it all under control, model and also have a ton of fun! We walked along the High Line in Chelsea, New York City. We made stops around the west village as well. These two will be getting married soon and having their New York City Wedding in a couple of months! Here are some highlights!!
