Meet Tiffannie and John! Hailing from Vancouver, Canada, Tiffannie and John have been preparing for their big day by traveling the world and getting their wedding and engagement sessions done. Having last been in Paris, France, they knew the next place they wanted to shoot in was the Big Apple- getting their engagement photos done in New York City!! So they called me, their New York City Wedding and Engagement Photographer, and wanted to get the most "New York" spots they could. We decided on doing their NYC engagement session at Times Square, Grand Central Station and finally at Brooklyn's finest, the Brooklyn Bridge! It was an extremely cold day (as following the tradition of the NYC 2014 Winter Polar Vortex year) and Tiffannie was a super-trooper, her final words for the shoot (even though she was freezing on the top of the bridge was), "It's all worth it!!!" Such an encouragement!!! :) Here are some of my favorite shots from their engagement session shoot that tooks us all over New York City!! The High Line in Chelsea, New York City Engagement Session
We probably picked the best and hottest day in New York City for this photoshoot (unknowingly). The weather these days have been all over the place, rain, rain, rain and then heat then it's like cold again. So crazy!! However, the heat didn't hold us back! These two were such troopers- and I'm telling you it was HOT. They were both probably sweating a storm, but they were able to keep it all under control, model and also have a ton of fun! We walked along the High Line in Chelsea, New York City. We made stops around the west village as well. These two will be getting married soon and having their New York City Wedding in a couple of months! Here are some highlights!!
A Dumbo Brooklyn Snow Storm Engagement Session in New York City with Allaya & Damany
This couple probably has one of the coolest "destiny" type stories. In short, Allaya worked as a barista in Starbucks, and one day, Damany went in with his buddy, and his buddy dares him to hit on Allaya. Allaya at the time had a boyfriend and completely disregards all of Damany's advances, and even ignores his phone calls. Fast forward a few years later at a DIFFERENT Starbucks, New York City location, Damany applies for a job, and guess who his coworker is!!! Now here they are, engaged and getting married! What a sweet story-- revolving Starbucks. Also, the best is that Allaya and Damany were super cool with shooting their engagement session during a snow storm in dumbo brooklyn, new york city!!
So of COURSE we had to do a few photographs inside Starbucks.. By the way, these two are pretty huge gamers :B so I thought this was pretty funny. Haha
I give so much props to these two. It was literally the day after our Big NEMO snow storm in New York City-- and they were being such super troopers by being able to stand still in such cold weather! I loved working with these two fun-loving and hospitable people. I can't wait for their wedding in a week!! :)
