So happy to be a part of this beautiful day with two of my closest friends! Joanne & Alan's big day has been so many years in the making! I photographed their engagement session a few months back in Montauk, and now can finally post their New York wedding photographs as well! I am so thankful they chose me to be their new york city wedding photographer! We go so many amazing shots! SO excited to share some of my favorite shots from this wedding:
A New York City Wedding on the Upper West Side
Lila and Kevin met in nursing school in New York City. She saw him and immediately began crushing on him. Their story is very sweet, and from the speeches and toasts that their friends and families gave, it was touching to hear how much these two had overcome together. Their love for their dog, Brooklyn, was so apparent throughout the wedding and even included him in their bridal party portraits. It was such a fun wedding, with wobbling as a one of Lila's best dance moves. It’s always so great to have a wedding in New York City with close friends and family.
A New England Wedding on the Beach with Emily & Mike
Emily loves, loves, loves the beach. That's why she and Mike searched hard for a venue that would best express her love for the beach. They chose Anthony's Ocean View in New England and it was a beautiful event and space for the affair. It was a nice getaway from my typical New York City Wedding. It was a brilliant wedding, the couple had such wonderful and supportive friends. I could really tell how much these two meant to people. One of my favorite parts of the wedding was when the brother of the groom was giving his best man speech. He worked at ESPN, and in his speech, he was telling a story about how Emily and Mike knew a boy who LOVED ESPN. Mike and Emily work with children, so they asked the brother if he could give the boy a tour of the headquarters. So his brother, who was at first SO excited to give them a tour... show them where he worked, what he did.. instead was so super touched by the awe and excitement of the boy. It was as if instead of being excited about himself, he was pleasantly given such an opportunity to bring such joy into a another person's life. It was really inspiring. Here are some of the highlights of the day:
An Intimate Elopement in a Brooklyn Brownstone In NYC
I had the honor of documenting an intimate elopement tucked away in a charming brownstone in Brooklyn. The scene was so enchanting, with the timeless elegance of the brownstone providing a picturesque backdrop for this sweet occasion. They only invited their closest family, and the ceremony was an intimate affair filled with love, warmth, and heartfelt moments. Jessica and Jason found this beautiful quaint Brownstone in Brooklyn where they exchanged their vows.
After the ceremony, the newlyweds and their loved ones continued the celebration with a delightful brunch in a nearby Brooklyn park. Surrounded by lush greenery and bathed in the soft glow of the morning light, we seized the opportunity to capture some truly breathtaking photos. From candid moments of laughter and joy to tender embraces shared between family members, each photograph captured the special day in vivid detail. There was so much love and happiness radiating from Jessica and Jason. I felt so happy that I could help photography such a beautiful and intimate time of celebration! Another beautiful way to say I DO in the beautiful city of New York!
