New York City Proposal at the East River Park in Manhattan

Belinda and I met when we played varsity volleyball together in high school.  Since then we've kept in touch, seeing each other at different events.  It was a pleasant surprise when her now-fiance, Omar, reached out to me to photograph their proposal. Omar told me that he kept me in mind ever since Belinda once showed him my work and told him that she liked it!  (*^__^*)  

Omar decided to propose at a local park (East River Park) where they used to run together.  This past week has been raining like CRAZY.. so on Christmas eve-eve, Omar and I met up and scoped out the "spot" - mind you...it was raining cats and dogs-- and we were a little worried that on Christmas eve, the big day, it would be raining... but the heavens opened up and the weather was pretty awesome!  It was a perfect moment and the sun even beamed down on Omar and Belinda during the proposal!  It was awesome and I was so glad to capture it as their new york city wedding photographer! A Central Park Conservatory Gardens Engagement Session in New York City

Caught Casey and Eric on a gorgeous day out at the Central Park Conservatory Gardens in New York City.  All the flowers were blooming, the sun was shining and everything was just a great set up for an awesome engagement session!  Afterwards, we walked a little bit around the neighborhood and grabbed some shots on the streets and finally down under in the nyc subways.  Special note: Eric is a huge Mets fan (ayyyy, Queens!)  It was so awesome to get some of these neighborhood shots and some of these gorgeous spots in Central Park and New York City. Another great session to capture as a New York City wedding photographer! Here are some of my favorite photos from the session:

A Snowy New York City Wedding Proposal in Long Island City Gantry State Park

Andrew had been planning his proposal to Stella for a few weeks. He had chosen the location, had the ring, had the plan and was ready to go! But never would he had thought that it would snow the day before the proposal. The ground was full of fresh snow and another storm was rolling in soon... so he knew he had to move quick. Andrew put together the final touches on the scrapbook he made for Stella and practiced the song that he would sing to accompany her as she looked through the book. He was going to sing about their 12 dates, but to the tune of "The 12 Days of Christmas". It was really a sweet!! We all huddled together, a group of his friends and I, hiding in the bathroom nearby the spot where he would propose overlooking the New York City Skyline at Gantry State Park. His friends cracked jokes, calmed him down and encouraged him about his exciting future with Stella. It was a lot of fun!! Then Andrew got the call, Stella was on her way to meet him! So Andrew hurried over and the show began...

It was so touching to see them get engaged and also have their backdrop with friends, family and New York City! Afterwards they went to go celebrate :D
