Outdoor Elopement at Brooklyn Bridge Park and 1 Hotel Brooklyn Bridge

Crystal and Nick had their outdoor ceremony and reception at Brooklyn Bridge Park in New York City. We first got ready at the 1 Hotel Brooklyn Bridge - Crystal looked SO STYLISH in her wedding pantsuit (obsessed!) and Nick looking spiffy in his dark suit- the two looked great for our editorial-like photo shoot before the ceremony! :D The backdrop for the ceremony was perfect and they had a lovely intimate and sweet ceremony. With a handful of close friends and family, (and a webcam streaming to more friends and family) they exchanged their vows and rings (rings that they welded themselves…!) right in front of the view of the Brooklyn Bridge and NYC Skyline. Afterward, they had a lovely outdoor picnic and enjoyed their time together. It was such a sweet day and Crystal and Nick were amazing to work with! So glad I get to be a new york city wedding photographer capturing these beautiful and heartfelt memories. Here are some highlights from the day:

A Rainy Brooklyn Promenade New York City Elopement

This was definitely one of the most interesting elopements I've ever done.  Shot entirely in the pouring rain!  Jackie and Aaron are from LA, California (Peep the LOVE LA street sign in one of these shots later) and their parents were flying in to NYC to witness their union.  Although the forecast had rain at 100%, their parents were only going to be in town this weekend - so we knew it was going to happen- rain or shine! We met at the Brooklyn Promenade; the officiant all ready, and everyone had armed with umbrellas!  I was able to capture their adorable elopement in the rain, surrounded by their family and friends and it was AWESOME!  It was whimsical, romantic, fast paced and definitely the kind of day you'd remember!! Despite the weather, there was a gorgeous backdrop and a lot less people walking around the park (which was really helpful!!)  Jackie and Aaron were all up for everything!! Their upbeat spirit and willingness to get amazing shots DEFINITELY made it all worth it!!  I had so much fun with them and was so thankful that despite some unforeseen circumstances- they were still able to have fun and enjoy their day!!!  Photographing in New York, you really never know what you’re going to get! Vinegar Hill House Wedding, Brooklyn, New York City

Nicole & Matthew had a sweet, intimate outdoor ceremony in the quaint little neighborhood of Vinegar Hill. Hidden away, they said their vows to each other and celebrated the occasion with delicious dinner, heartfelt toasts and bangin CAKE at Vinegar Hill House Restaurant !! Both amazing people with impeccable taste, they had chosen a beautiful restaurant and spruced it up with bits and pieces of their personalities. I loved being a part of this multicultural union and celebrating with their families! They even had a traditional Chinese tea ceremony and tried to include everyone on this wonderful tradition! It’s so great to be a new york city wedding photographer!

Wythe Hotel Wedding Prep and Dumbo Loft Wedding in Brooklyn, New York City

Christina and Brandon had such an amazing wedding day. They began their day at the Wythe Hotel and then did their wedding photos at Brooklyn Bridge Park with Jane’s Carousel in their immediate backdrop. They then had their wedding at the  Dumbo Loft -which is an amazing raw space that was beautifully envisioned and adorned by Christina and her amazingly talented friend, Becky!  (Well Spring Writes)  It was a gorgeous and touching ceremony, full of laughter, supportive friends and Dinosaur BBQ.  <3  Good times of crazy dancing, a donut piñata; mobbed and attacked by the bachelors; and cigars to end the night.  I’m always a fan of a raw wedding space where the couples get to choose what they want exactly at their wedding. There’s really no place like that except in Brooklyn! I am so thankful they chose me to capture their beautiful memories as their new york city wedding photographer! Nothing can top this.
