Meena and Suyash had memorable pre-wedding events. Meena had a special event in the house where she grew up in Connecticut, with a morning ceremony and tying of kalira (silver ornaments tied to the bride’s marriage bangles for good luck) by family and friends, and henna as well. Then the couple had a wonderful dinner for family and out-of-town guests. Both the couple currently live in New York City so they brought along me, a New York City wedding photographer to help them capture their day! The venue was a former bank and the marble floors, vault, floor-to-ceiling windows, and stained glass dome contributed to the beautiful atmosphere as guests mingled, watched a video of wedding wishes from friends around the world, and joined in a touching and hilarious open-mic.
