This was definitely one of the most interesting elopements I've ever done. Shot entirely in the pouring rain! Jackie and Aaron are from LA, California (Peep the LOVE LA street sign in one of these shots later) and their parents were flying in to NYC to witness their union. Although the forecast had rain at 100%, their parents were only going to be in town this weekend - so we knew it was going to happen- rain or shine! We met at the Brooklyn Promenade; the officiant all ready, and everyone had armed with umbrellas! I was able to capture their adorable elopement in the rain, surrounded by their family and friends and it was AWESOME! It was whimsical, romantic, fast paced and definitely the kind of day you'd remember!! Despite the weather, there was a gorgeous backdrop and a lot less people walking around the park (which was really helpful!!) Jackie and Aaron were all up for everything!! Their upbeat spirit and willingness to get amazing shots DEFINITELY made it all worth it!! I had so much fun with them and was so thankful that despite some unforeseen circumstances- they were still able to have fun and enjoy their day!!! I was super excited to blog this elopement and hope you guys will enjoy it too!!
Katy, a florist from the UK wanted to have her destination wedding in New York City. Philip and her have been to NYC a few times and knew this was going to be the place. Their families flew out from the UK to come and support the exciting event and shower them with love and encouragement! It was a sweet, quick ceremony, followed by some amazing portraitures throughout the city. Katy really loves the gritty urban look of NYC so we tried to incorporate that as much as possible. We ventured through Soho, the West Village and Chelsea.
The timeless aura of the classic concrete jungle, is where these charming Singaporean lovers tied the knot. Ness & Denis met in the heart of the city, making it the perfect place to declare their love to the world. It can't get more New York City than the elegance of the Plaza Hotel, becoming one at City Hall, rings from Tiffany & Co, hotdogs stands, sweet cherry blossoms in Central Park, and strolling around Times Square. Keep scrolling to witness their picture-perfect love story unfold!
Despi and Emil decided to get married in New York City. They both are from Greece and planned a vacation to NYC, so they thought, "why not also get married here!?" They set up an appointment at the Greece Consulate and had an intimate ceremony with a few close friends and facetimed their family right after. It was a really sweet moment! They had a room at the Gramercy Park Hotel, so we got some fun photographs with the quirky decor and then some more at Central Park. Despi and Emil were a upbeat and wanted to encapsulate their elopement in New York City in a fun way!
